Hey Hey Guys,

It has been so hot here in Utah lately. I think got to 103 and I felt like my eyes were going sunny side up. Now I know that is nothing compared to places like Arizona, but oof it was hot hot hot.

Let’s get started
Dressing for the heat can consist of a bathing suit and cover up. I have been guilty of doing that a few times this year. Linen shorts and a tank top just to keep from over heating. Guilty again. There is one item that really helps stay cool in the heat if you need to look presentable for errands, meetings, brunch with the girls whatever. A simple button up dress. Now you saw me style a button up dress (here), but I wanted to show you a different way and a different style of a button up dress.

I was browsing Target looking for something to catch my eye when Aria was tugging on this really cute animal print fabric. We pulled it off the rack and fell in love with the cut, the fabric, and the way it looks on my body. I am super self conscious of my bust size so I often try to hide behind blousy shirts. For some reason I just really like how the girls look in this dress. The belt is a needed touch because for the way my body is I need a large to fit my boobs but my waist needs a medium so I always have left over fabric in the waist area.

Dress Hack
To fix that look for a dress with a belt, take it to a tailor, or here is a quick hack for you I shared on my try-on stories (here).

Take a pony tail elastic and cinch all the extra fabric from the inside forming a fabric pony tail. Secure it with and elastic and you have a fitted waist. Now tailors do not cost much money at all an I highly recommend them if you have a unique body type like myself, it just takes time.

This hat was another lucky find and another way to keep cool. Again, Aria found this hat and demanded to wear it around the store and I kind of fell in love with it. Every girl needs a good hat to shade my face from the sun and this does just that without ruining the outfit. I love love love how this look turned out and it will keep you cool and stylish for the hot summer months.
